“Tote” takes care of the vineyards and the wine like his own children, Alvarete and David. With a professional career as a farmer and winemaker in a large Riojan wine cooperative, he landed at Bodegas Murillo Viteri in 1998.

Enthusiastic about being part of a small, quality winery, he did not hesitate to dedicate himself body and soul to his passion for grapes and wine.

You will recognize him in the winery because he is always singing and in a good mood. He will greet you with a smile at any time of the day except 10 in the morning, lunchtime. During the 20 minutes of lunch your “I’m not for anyone” is sacred!

With the soul of an inventor, he became popular in the local media in 2005 for his “rabbit radio”: an ingenious system of chasing away rabbits with rock music so that they do not eat the shoots of the vines during budding.
