Ingredients for 4 people
The ingredients for the pork tenderloin in red wine sauce recipe must be of the highest quality, so we recommend fresh products. Also, the better the red wine we use for the sauce, the tastier it will be.
-2 pork tenderloins
-1 carrot
– Half a green pepper
– 1 onion
– 3 tablespoons of fried tomato
– 2 garlic
– 250 ml of Murillo Viteri Crianza wine
– Pepper
– AOVE
– Salt
Preparation of the recipe
1- Cut the sirloin into medallions approximately 1 cm thick, season with salt and pepper and sear them on both sides in a casserole dish or frying pan with oil over a high heat. Once browned, remove and set aside.
2- Cut the vegetables and chop them into small squares. First place the onion in a frying pan to poach. After 5-10 minutes, add the rest of the vegetables: carrot, garlic and green pepper. We can also add other vegetables that we like, such as mushrooms or red pepper. If necessary, add more oil and let them fry over a medium heat.
3- When the vegetables are softening, add a few spoonfuls of fried tomato (better if it is homemade) with a little water. Add salt, pepper or any other spices you like.
4- Once everything is stirred, add the red wine and mix the sauce well. Bring to the boil so that the alcohol evaporates and after 3-5 minutes place the sirloin steaks in the sauce.
5- Leave to cook over a medium heat for about 30 minutes, until the sauce has reduced and reached the desired thickness.
6- As an optional accompaniment, we suggest fried potatoes or cooked vegetables, to suit everyone’s taste!
7- Ready to eat!
